Fatigued Hunter Assisted by Search and Rescue Team Saturday Night

The Montrose Search and Rescue team aided a hunter who was hiking around mile marker 30 on the Angeles Crest Highway on Saturday night.

A hunter in the Angeles National Forest phoned the Sheriff's Department and told them he was too fatigued to walk back to his car on Saturday night, according to Lt. Angela Shepherd of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The Montrose Search and Rescue team responded to the call and hiked in to assist the hunter, who was walked out by the team, Shepherd said.

The call came in around 7:45 p.m. and the hunter was located around the mile 30 marker on the Angeles Crest Highway, Shepherd said.
