Passenger Killed in La Tuna Canyon Crash, 2 Others Critical

A driver crashed a vehicle into a wall and died on La Tuna Canyon Road, just south of the Foothill (210) Freeway near La Crescenta. Two other people are hospitalized in critical condition.

A motorist crashed into a wall Saturday night in nearby Sun Valley, killing one person and critically injuring two others, a city fire official said.

The crash was reported at 8:21 p.m. near 8300 W. La Tuna Canyon Road, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, Scott said.

Two others were taken to hospitals in critical condition, he said.

From what I understand, it was a passenger that died, not the driver.

Yes, it was the front seat passenger, a 17 year old boy.

He is a minor and a member of my family. I will ask his parents' permission to post his name. He attended Rosemont and CV and was recently attending Daly.
