A badly decomposed body was found by a hiker Sunday afternoon at nearby Hahamongna Watershed Park, according to a report in the Pasadena Sun.
The body was found the same day a , but based on the state of the body found in Hahamongna it had likely been there for a longer period of time - Capt. Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Department described the body as badly decomposed and said that animals had been feeding on it.
The cause of death for that person is unknown and an autopsy has not yet been done, Winter said.
He said that the police will check missing persons reports and investigators will examine the body for clues.
The investigating agency for the area is the Pasadena Police Department.
