CVHS Graffiti Clean Up Estimated at $11,000

Graffiti vandals covered the school with colored spray paint on June 1.

Graffiti vandals covered numerous buildings, doors, and window covers of Crescenta Valley High School some time between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, and 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

Police say that most of the school was hit with green, white, black and purple spray paint, including the cafeteria, gymnasium, and basketball court retaining walls.

According to a report, school officials estimate the cost of clean up to be approximately $11,000. School district officials could not be reached today for comment.

The graffiti included profanities, as well as drawings described in the report as "monkey hanging from a branch," "naked lady," and "angel." The words "ready for college bitches," "2011 CV seniors bow down," and "seniors 2011" were also reported to have been painted onto the school.

The high school was also reportedly vandalized with spray paint on May 14.
