Crime Blotter: Washer and Dryer Stolen

Delivery Swiped

A resident reported that she expected to receive a cell phone delivery at her home in the 3000 block of Evelyn Street, according to the report. She never received the package and called sheriff's deputies at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26. She contacted the delivery company and was told that the phone had been delivered earlier that day. The phone is valued at $200.

Washer and Dryer Stolen

A victim reported that some time between Saturday, Oct. 1 and Thursday, Oct. 27, someone stole a washer and dryer from her backyard in the 4600 block of Marellen Place, according to the report. Since the home is under construction, she could not be sure the exact time the appliances were taken. The washer and dryer were in a location not visible from the road.

Home Burglary

A resident in the 2900 block of Paraiso Way returned home at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 to discover it ransacked, according to sheriff's deputies. She could not recall if she had locked the doors to her residence prior to going out that day but did note that a window screen appeared out of place. A laptop valued at $1,800 and a silver and star sapphire ring valued at $1,000 were reported stolen.

An assault on a child was reported at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 in the 2500 block of Montrose Avenue.

Glendale Police reported a petty theft in the 2700 block of Montrose Avenue at 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

An assault was reported at 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 in the 2400 block of Laughlin Street.

A burglary was reported at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 in the 3500 block of Market Street.

Glendale Police reported a drunk in public call at 7:34 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 in the 2000 block of Verdugo Boulevard.

Glendale Police reported arson at in the 4700 block of Moore Street at 9:57 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Vandalism was reported at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the 3400 block of Paraiso Way.

An assault was reported at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the 2400 block of Rockdell Street.

Vandalism was reported at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the 3800 block of Franklin Street.

Glendale Police reported a burglary in the 3300 block of Paraiso Way at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.

It's understandable that someone wouldn't know what to do with it if found and that's why my friend, in hopes to assisting me, has posted these and others around.

Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck.
