Crime Blotter: Vehicular Vandalism, Petty Theft, and Felony Drug Possession

The following reports were taken from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Crescenta Valley Station and Glendale Police. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Vehicular Vandalism

A man reported to deputies that some time between 6:50 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, someone smashed the tailgate window of his white ’96 Ford Explorer while his car was parked in the 30 block of Altura Avenue.  The tailgate window was valued at $800.  Nothing had been taken from the victim’s vehicle.  The victim tried to locate the object used to smash vehicle but he was unsuccessful.

A man reported to deputies that some time between 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, and 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, a woman’s black ’09 Nissan Altima was vandalized at Mira Vista Avenue and Montrose Avenue.  The damages amount to $8,750.

Daniel Shane Barrett, 35, was booked at 3:55 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6 on suspicion of felony drug possession.  The booking occurred at Foothill Blvd. and New York Avenue.

Iban DeJesus Naveja, 25, was booked at 9:42 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 on suspicion of assault.  The booking occurred at 3031 Montrose Avenue.

An assault was reported at 9:05 p.m. on Thursday in the 2300 block of Henrietta Avenue.

Glendale Police reported a petty theft at 5:43 p.m. on Thursday in the 3200 block of Mills Avenue.

Glendale Police reported a felony drug possession at 4:07 p.m. on Friday in the 3900 block of Dunsmore Avenue.

Glendale Police reported a petty theft at 10:17 a.m. on Tuesday in the 3900 block of Lowell Avenue.
