Crime Blotter: Stolen Items Reappear in Flower Bed

A resident returns home to find reportedly stolen items in her front yard flower bed.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Crescenta Valley Station, provided the following reports. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Graffiti Vandalism

A male resident in the 3900 block of Rosemont Ave. reported to deputies that sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 21 and 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, his trailer, parked on the street, was sprayed with graffiti. Deputies noted that 20 by 10 inch block letters were spray painted in white on the rear gate and right panel of the trailer. Damage was estimated at $1000.

Stolen Items Reappear... in a Flower Bed.

On Monday June 20, a female resident in the 2300 block of Florencita Ave. reported to deputies that upon returning from a four day business trip she discovered a plastic trash bag in the flower bed of her front yard. The bag contained a Tom Tom GPS, a Garmin GPS, an LG cell phone with case and charger and two CD cases filled with CDs.

She said that the phone and Garmin had been stolen from her locked vehicle but had not noticed any damage to the car. Deputies retrieved the phone owner’s identification from the phone.

At 11:13 p.m. on Friday June 24, Glendale Police reported an arrest in the 2000 block of Broadview Dr. on a drunk in public charge.

Glendale Police reported graffiti vandalism in the 2700 block of Piedmont Ave. at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday June 25.

Glendale Police reported a car stolen at Foothill Blvd. and Pennsylvania Ave. at 8:20 a.m. on Monday June 27.
