Crime Blotter: Mailboxes Mauled and Thefts

Mailboxes Mauled

At 2:30 p.m. on Monday, a woman reported hearing “banging” noises outside her home in the 3000 block of Santa Carlotta Street. When she went outside to look, she saw a white sports utility vehicle slow down near her mailbox before pulling away. She then contacted her neighbor, who also reported mailbox damage. Both victims’ mailboxes are located on a structure that holds three mailboxes.

The following report was taken from Glendale Police daily booking reports.

Cesar Andaluz Lopez, 22, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at Foothill Boulevard and La Crescenta Avenue on suspicion of a warrant violation for driving without a valid license.

Glendale Police reported an assault Sunday, Sept. 19 at 11:25 a.m. in the 4800 block of Maryland Avenue.

A vehicle break-in was reported at Broadview Drive and Clifton Place at 2:55 a.m. Monday.

Los Angeles County Sheriffs reported two separate incidents of theft occurring at 6 p.m. and 9:55 p.m. Monday in the 2900 block of Foothill Boulevard.

Glendale Police reported vandalism in the 1100 block of Dolorita Avenue at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday.

A theft was reported by Glendale Police in the 3100 block of Montrose Avenue at 8:53 p.m. Thursday.
