Crime Blotter: Church Window Shattered During Service

Church Vandalism

During service between 10:45 a.m. and noon Sunday, a rock was thrown through the library window of the , 4441 La Crescenta Ave. The window was completely shattered and the rock found on the window’s ledge.

Petty Theft

A resident in the 2300 block of Pickens Canyon Road, reported that some time between Sunday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Sept. 30, someone stole his 15-speed, red Mongoose bike from the backyard of his home. The victim noted that he did not lock the bike or the gate to his backyard. The bike is valued at $250.

Petty Theft From Vehicle

A resident in the 3800 block of Park Place reported on Saturday, Oct. 1 that her 2007 Jeep Cherokee SUV was parked, unlocked, in a carport on the side of her apartment building. Someone entered and stole items from inside. Channel sunglasses valued at $650, a baby scale valued at $60 and an iPhone headset charger worth $40 combined were stolen.

On reported three drunk in public calls in the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue at 9:41 p.m., 9:50 p.m., and 11:05 p.m.

An assault occurred at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 in the 3100 block of Orange Avenue.

A DUI arrest was made at 7:42 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at La Crescenta and Sycamore Avenues.

Glendale Police reported a burglary in the 4400 block of Oceanview Boulevard at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.

Glendale Police reported a DUI arrest at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Honolulu and La Crescenta Avenues.

A drugs felony occurred at 12:04 a.m. Sunday at Honolulu Place and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Glendale Police reported a petty theft in the 3300 block of Community Avenue at 8:15 a.m. Sunday.

Glendale Police reported an assault at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Manhattan Avenue.

The following reports were taken from Glendale Police daily booking reports. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Shawn David Vollert, 44, a sober living manager, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 9:25 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Honolulu Avenue.

Mike Sabino Carillo, a 32-year-old mechanic, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at the 210 Freeway and Pennsylvania Avenue.
