Community Pays Tribute to Former CV Captain

Former Crescenta Valley Station Captain will transfer to a new job.

Members of the community gathered Monday night to honor a man who devoted five years of his career to serving the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.

The community bid farewell to Captain David Silversparre who left at captain of the CV station back in April. Silversparre had announced that he was transferred to a new position as radio room captain at the Sheriff's Communications and Fleet Management Bureau in Los Angeles, according to the La Canada Valley Sun.

Silversparre was honored by community leaders as well. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) presented Silversparre with plaques, certificates and other gifts.
