Body Found Near Angeles Crest Highway

The body was found Monday afternoon near a car that plunged off the embankment.

A body was found Monday a short distance away from a car that plunged about 200 feet down an embankment off North Angeles Crest Highway.

Caltrans crews spotted the car about 1:45 p.m. at mile marker 31-10 in an area known as "Sack Wall,'' said county firefighter Inspector Brian Riley.

He said that at first check, no one was found inside the car. The body was later found nearby.
