Body Found Near Shallow Grave Identified As Glendale Man

A body found near a shallow grave off of Big Tujunga Road earlier this month was identified as a 25-year-old Glendale man.

A body found by the Montrose Search and Rescue Team close to the site of a shallow grave in the Angeles National Forest earlier this month was identified Thursday as a missing Glendale man.

Authorities said the body found on Jan. 19 has been identified as 25-year-old Nicholas Carter, who was reported missing on Jan. 7, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Carter's death is being treated as a homicide, the release states. Anyone with information about Carter's death is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
