Bear Returns to La Crescenta for Weekend Visit

Locals spotted the black bear in the 3700 block of Cedarbend Drive and 3900 block of Forestglen Drive in the community south of Honolulu and Boston avenues.

has visited the area several times, including its most recent arrival Saturday. 

The animal strolled through yards in the 3700 block of Cedarbend Drive about 2:50 a.m. Saturday and a newspaper delivery man saw him in the 3900 block of Forestglen Drive about 6 a.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Times

Last week, Elva Sherman heard her dog barking at her front door where the bear was standing outside.

Residents are encouraged to leave the bear alone, do not approach it or run away from it, according to Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA.

Locals are urged to call 911 if there is an immediate emergency.
