Suspects Sought in Armed Robbery at Montrose Jewelry Store

One of the suspects struck someone with a gun, according to the police.

Police are looking for two to three suspects in the armed robbery of a store Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m., one of whom pistol-whipped someone in the store.

One of the suspects was pretending to make a Fed Ex delivery at the Honolulu Avenue store. When someone attempted to sign for the package, the suspect pulled a handgun out of the box and struck the person with it, according to information from the Glendale Police Department.

The Glendale PD said the suspects fled in a light colored vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta, with paper license plates.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious persons in the area prior to the robbery are asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911 or 818-548-3987, attention Detective Mike Wenz of the Robbery-Homicide Unit.
