Salesman Seeks Love Connection

This week on my search for singles, I found a handsome, classy local enjoying some classic La Crescenta Italian food.

We all want to believe in the fairytale when it comes to love. While arranged marriages work for some, others rely on good old fashioned trial and error.

But for La Crescenta local Louis Dakakian, a successful relationship lies somewhere in between. In my chat with Louis, we agreed on the possibility that all men, women and transgender people should be accepted as equal. But whatever we seek in love, we should also know ahead of time that not all fairytales end happily.

Name: Louis Dakakian

Age: 35

Occupation: Sales

Current Location:

Relationship Status: Single

Interested In: A with a golden personality.

What brings you here tonight?

I like this place. It feels like home in a way. Have you been?

I have and I agree. Did you enjoy some beverages there?

(Laughs) I actually don’t drink. I drink a lot of , but it’s bad for your health. It damages your stomach.

What did you eat?

Gnocchi. That’s my favorite.

What do you do?

I work in sales, cars mostly.

Are you single?

Yes. I am sometimes scared of the dating scene because I was hurt by a woman I truly believed loved me. It turns out, she stabbed me in the back. So, I am cautious.

But optimistic?

Right.

Where are you from?

Armenia.

How long have you lived in the U.S.?

I have been here nine years.

Does your family live here?

No. They are in Armenia. I moved to La Crescenta from downtown Glendale last year.

What top three qualities must you have in a woman?

She has to have a good personality and I have to feel a connection. Other than that, it’s a bonus. She has to be cute, too. But I believe that is in the eye of the beholder.

Do you date much?

Not a whole lot, but when I do I like to make it romantic. Maybe a little candle light and .

Any favorite restaurants?

I would say that for dates, I like and . The last time I went to New Moon, though, my date drank too much! I almost had to carry her out.

Oh no!

She was so embarrassed the next day, but we ended up dating for a while though. She eventually got over it.

Do you have plans?

I am going to a friend’s house party here in La Crescenta. It’s a party. I hate dressing up, so I think I will go as myself. One year, my ex-girlfriend had us dressed up as Sonny and Cher. I had never been so humiliated!

Wow. That really must have been love!

I think I was blinded.

Speaking of that family, what do you think of Chaz being on Dancing with the Stars?

I don’t watch the show. I know he is transgender. What do you think?

I think him being on the show is a good thing as far as teaching kids that differences are good and should be accepted as well as expected. If we teach our that we are all the same, they will grow up intolerant or scared of others who are different. So, I believe in the freedom to be who you are.

I can agree with that.

Thanks. I like it when people agree with me.

Are you married?

I am. Why do you ask?

You don’t wear a .

So, now you work for the FBI? I am supposed to ask the questions here.

Okay. Okay. Just one more though... does your husband know you go out without a ring?

He insists on it. This way he can also go out without his ring and we can pretend to be single and happy until we get home and face the .

That’s an interesting story you tell.

Are you trying to take my job?

Maybe.

Will you ever get married?

Yes! I would love to find the perfect woman. I don’t know. It’s hard to date these days. With the Internet and dating sites, it isn’t how it used to be. I wish we lived back in the days of arranged marriages.

They should have more of those in the US! That would be fun.

There is a fine line with the Internet dating and blind dates. What can you really tell from a photo and some message chats? I would love it if I could be set up without knowing anything about the girl. That has some excitement at least!

So, what you are looking for is excitement then?

Aren’t we all?

I’ll ask the questions around here.

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs .
