Collecting signatures to Repeal Glendale's Utility Users Tax

Announcement

The petition to Repeal Glendale's Utility Users Tax is being circulated over the next two months.    Collecting signatures neither supports or opposes the initative.  The petition only gets it placed on the ballot, so that voters can decide the arguments for and the argument against.

If the UUT is repealed customers of Glendale Water and Power, The Gas Company, Telephone, cell phone, cable will lower their utility usage fee bill by 6.5% to 7% upon passage.

Why should repealing the Utility Users should be placed on the ballot?  City leaders are either unable or unwilling to control spending and manage resources.  Glendale citizens must take direct action to ensure that they do so.  Reducing city revenues will force the city to live within its means, by being more prudent and managing more competently, rather than perpetually seeking new ways to tax us. The UUT only represents a 4% reduction in the city’s budget.  If they cannot do it on their own, then we must do it form them.

If you would like to sign the petition, or would like to circulate and gather a few signatures from your friends or neighbors who are registered in the City of Glendale, please contact
