Locals are invited to help raise money for the Crescenta Valley Drug & Alcohol Prevention Coalition and 's after school sports programat the annual Running the Foothills 5k Run and Walk.
Check-in starts at 7 a.m. Sept. 22 at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave., La Crescenta. The kids fun run starts at 7:55 a.m., then the 5K starts at 8 a.m. with the walk shortly after, at 8:05 a.m.
Register before the race and adults are $20, which includes a t-shirt for the day of the race. Adults can also register the day of the race for $25.
Kids are free and t-shirts for children cost $10.
