Calling all Los Angeles Ladies With Babies

Have you ever wanted to meet other LA-area moms? Ladies with Babies, a community networking group, hosts events to get to know other mothers. The group will host a 1950s family picnic at Brand Park on July 1.

The Los Angeles Ladies with Babies takes motherhood to a new, technological, level.

The online community and real-life networking crew of moms met in Pasadena for the first time in April. Anyone can join and the purpose is to make new friends and share information about parenting.

The group will meet next at a 1950s themed, family picnic at Brand Park in Glendale at 11 a.m. July 1.

Local mom Athena Severi started Ladies with Babies more than a year ago and built an international networking group with more than 1,100 members and a Facebook presence.

“Being a mom is not always easy,” Sevari said in a news release. “We need to help each other as much as we can.”

The event was held in Pasadena with activities from Gymboree of South Pasadena, Pasadena Fire Department demonstrations and more than 30 vendors with food and child proof products.

from Montrose, Buttercelli’s Organic Bakeshop from Sherman Oaks and the Back Door Bakery in Sunland were featured at the event.

Parents learned how to conquer terrible two's, raising kids with morals, talking to an angry child and how to encourage a happy, self-determined child.

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs . Educators play a vital role for our children and in society and should be supported in any way possible. Any who might be interested, e-mail me at tbadger2000@yahoo.com.
