The free event will take place at the Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 19.

The Crescenta Valley Dog Park will be celebrating its one-year aniversary on Oct. 19, and dog lovers from all around the CV are invited to attend.

The 1st Annual Dog Park Celebration and Resource Fair is a free event that will take place at the Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call (818) 249-5940 for more details.

Funding for the dog park was approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. Cheryl Davis, president of the Crescenta Valley Town Council, was a strong supporter of the park, and the construction of a dog park was part of her campaign platform when she first ran in 2007. It was the first dog park funded and operated by the county.
