I am offering free services on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. in my office if you want to process the recent tragedies in Sandy Hook and Oregon. I am a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist located in Pasadena, CA (see web page). I am also a crisis responder for the American Red Cross, a certified bereavement facilitator and specialize with trauma and grief.
We are witnessing how this event has affected so many of us and coming together as a community to talk would be a start to healing. There are so many giving, wonderful people in our area that are demonstrating shock, dismay, and want to find a way to help. I believe getting together to remind ourselves of the good in the world is important right now. The holidays already bring up so many feelings of loved ones no longer with us and now with this event I hope you seek support and talk and perhaps by talking we get to a place of not feeling so out of control and find ways to take action.
