Community Corner

La Canada Junior Women's Club

Formed in 1969, the La Canada Junior Women’s Club has helped
women and children in La Canada and the surrounding communities by providing financial and service-based support to local organizations.

This year’s current philanthropies include the Ronald McDonald House and Haven House, a shelter in Pasadena that helps women and children suffering from domestic abuse. The members also participate in hands-on projects once a month by making sack lunches for Union Station. They also make cozy blankets for the Ronald McDonald House and offer Preschool Eye Screening once a year.

LCJWC primarily raises money for these organizations through an annual fundraising dinner with dancing and auctions. Throughout the year they offer social parties and fun membership outings.

LCJWC does not require a large financial or time commitment.

If you are looking to network socially with other women and families in the community, while helping those in need, LCJWC may be the right organization
for you.
