San Gabriel Valley Choral Company begins its season with a new sound.

Under the leadership of new Artistic Director, Zanaida Robles, the SGVCC 2012-2013 season promises a fresh perspective in choral music.

Over the past several months, the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company’s (SGVCC) new Artistic Director, Zanaida Robles has been hard at work selecting repertoire, recruiting, and seeking opportunities for SGVCC to bring music to San Gabriel Valley communities.  Her contagious enthusiasm for choral music has rejuvenated the group.  As a result, the choir has grown to thirty-five members and is making a lush musical sound that is exciting to hear.  The SGVCC will share its new take on choral music with the community in the following concert:

Holiday Glories - Featuring “Gloria” by Vivaldi, with favorite carols and selections by Handel, Rutter, Argento, Victoria, and Busto. December 8, 2012 - 7:30 p.m.

The concert will be held at: First Presbyterian Church, 101 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016.

Tickets are $5-$15 to all concerts and can be reserved through the SGVCC website: www.choralcompany.org or by calling: 626-256-9151.

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs . Educators play a vital role for our children and in society and should be supported in any way possible. Any who might be interested, e-mail me at tbadger2000@yahoo.com.
