Have you been wondering what’s beyond the gates at the Rosemont Preserve?  The public is welcome to visit during our ongoing restoration events, when we will be removing invasive plants and establishing our first trail.  Roll up your sleeves and help out, or just stop by for a peek at La Crescenta's own slice of protected wilderness.

We meet on the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00am until 11:00am for a few hours of fresh mountain air.  For those assisting with the restoration, sturdy shoes, comfortable clothes (long sleeves and pants) and garden gloves are recommended.  If you have a shovel, pickaxe, loppers or digging bar, please bring them along.

The Preserve is located at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence.  As street parking is limited, please park at Two Strike Park.

This event is free to the public, all ages, no reservations required.

For further information please contact the Friends of the Rosemont Preserve at RosemontFriends@gmail.com, or join us on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Friends-of-the-Rosemont-Preserve/508517285854669?fref=ts

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs . Educators play a vital role for our children and in society and should be supported in any way possible. Any who might be interested, e-mail me at tbadger2000@yahoo.com.
