After the wildly successful Summer Nights concert, Crescenta Valley Church presents LIFT - A THANKSGIVING BENEFIT CONCERT FOR NEEDY FAMILIES on Sunday, Nov. 11th at 6PM. We welcome everyone in La Crescenta, Montrose, Glendale and the surrounding areas to join us in a night of helping the needy, fun, and great music by Katy Perry, Coldplay, Rihanna and others. Come and bring your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues, we have refreshments and free childcare for kids under 5!

Just before Thanksgiving is the perfect time to get together to enjoy music and help LIFT up the spirits of each other and those in need. Come enjoy the concert and bring canned (no glass containers, please!) meats, chunky soups, pancake mixes, hot and cold cereal, pasta, pasta sauce and other non-perishable foods as well as toiletry items like Kleenex, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and soap to benefit Sue's Garden, a charity that is helping 40 local families that have been hit by the hard times. More info is available at www.cvchurch.com.

See you on Sunday, November 11th at 6PM at Crescenta Valley Church, 4001 La Crescenta Avenue, La Crescenta, CA. (Corner of Piedmont between Montrose and Honolulu.)

I can well empathsize with your loss. First thing, can you remember taking it off anywhere? DidRead More you wash your hands anywhere, soap makes fingers slippery. Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs . Educators play a vital role for our children and in society and should be supported in any way possible. Any who might be interested, e-mail me at tbadger2000@yahoo.com.
