Art Show: Positively Local 91040-91042

River Rock Arts Colony presents its first art show featuring 18 incredible artists who live in Sunland-Tujunga. Everyone is invited to the free Artists Reception on 11-9-13 from 5pm to 8pm. Artwork is available for purchase, from inexpensive greeting cards to the latest work by top professional Sunland-Tujunga artists, and 15% of the proceeds benefits the McGroarty Arts Center of Tujunga.
Los Angeles City Councilmember Felipe Fuentes, while presenting his first Proclamation for the Arts at
City Hall, said, “The 7th Council
District, and in particular Sunland-Tujunga, is the scene of a burgeoning arts
community in the San Fernando Valley."
The Founder of River Rock Arts Colony, Debby Beck said, “We're starting
something new in the place we're in, to make it a more fun, more
culturally-oriented, more livable place—instead of needing to go to other
places to find enough art, music, theatre, film, etc. to satisfy our thirst for
culture.”
