2010 Census Data Reveals Montrose is Growing Rapidly!

The population of La Crescenta-Montrose grew by 1,121, or 5 percent, over the past decade, faster than that of the city of Los Angeles but less than the state of California as a whole, according to 2010 U.S. Census data released Tuesday.

The U.S. Census Bureau released data for the state of California on Tuesday, with data now available at the bureau's American FactFinder site.

The data show that Los Angeles County remains the largest county in California and that the county’s population increased 3.1 percent, from 9,519,338 in 2000 to 9,818,605 in 2010. California’s overall population rose 10 percent from 33,871,648 in 2000 to 37,253,956 in 2010.
