Seniors can learn how to protect themselves from criminals.

Seniors are invited to a workshop Thursday, April 18, where they can learn how to protect themselves from many varieties of fraud.

The Senior Scam Stopper workshop will be held at the YMCA of the Foothills, 1930 Foothill Blvd., from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The workshop is free for all.

Assemblymember Mike Gatto, the Contractors State License Board and ASTER are sponsoring the event. A panel of experts will explain what it takes to protect yourself from becoming fraud victims and learn what to do if you are already a victim.
