Weekend Planner: Crescenta Valley Weekend Happenings

Patch has the scoop on everything this weekend with films, produce fresh off the farm, zumba and reggae music.

1. Film Festival

The free  returns this summer in it's second year provided by . Join the party Friday and Saturday at  Parking Lot adjacent to 2230 Honolulu Ave. Bands take the stage at 6:30 p.m. each night, followed by American Graffiti at 8 p.m. Friday and Grease at 8 p.m. Saturday. Local eateries ,  and will also provide al fresco dining. It's all going on at 2230 Honolulu Ave.

2. Farmer's Market

Need fresh ingredients for a delicious dinner? Head over to  at the Americana in downtown Glendale, where local produce, fresh flowers and specialty products are available weekly for purchase at this outdoor market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 889 Americana Way.

3. Dance Party

Have you tried ? Cha cha cha your way to a stronger core by dancing an hour away. You will forget you're working out! Zumba is perfect for all levels of fitness and no dance training is required. The fun starts at 3 p.m. Saturday in nearby La Cañada Flintridge's Vonder Haar Center for the Performing Arts at 457 Foothill Blvd. 

4. Grand Finale of 2011's 

Every summer, La Cañada's Memorial Park is the place to be on Sunday nights and this reggae concert finale is no different. Bands play from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1301 Foothill Blvd. as "Upstream" plays the final 2011 reggae concert. Say hello to La Canada Flintridge Patch Local Editor Donna Evans and grab some free Patch swag.

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs .
