Owners Carole Brookshire and Mary Dawson, two sisters who had the idea to bring their own style and fashion to Montrose, approve each item before it ever hits the shelves. And after a national recession, Brookshire is happy to report that she is seeing “steady improvements” within the company.
Devout Christians, Brookshire and Dawson named their trendy Montrose boutique after the last book of the Bible. And therefore known around town as the “Revelation Sisters”; the duo are dedicated to customer satisfaction, and ensure each buyer maintains their individual, unique style. “We get new items in daily with only one of each size," Brookshire explains. That means Revelation's looks really are individualistic. “We are unique and different from what you will find in the mall.”
In addition to in-store shopping, a vast assortment of original pieces are also available online with free delivery. With new shipments daily, fluctuating sizes and a great return policy unusual to independently owned shops, Revelation Tops is 100% devoted to their customers.

And when it comes to the needs of her customers, Brookshire pays close attention. “They just want to have something up to date and trendy in their closets for special occasions.” She continues: “We are a casual and trendy store, but our clothes are very comfortable. Yet, they have the latest detailing and style."
The sisters also have extensive retail backgrounds and have connections to “top secret” merchandisers on both coasts in order to offer exclusive items in their store. Brookshire and Dawson are even trained in color analysis and body typing for those that need an extra hand selecting their wardrobe.
In addition to clothing and accessories, Revelation Tops also carries La Dolce Diva body lotion products for luxurious bath and body care.
Along with her husband Dale, sister Dawson also owns Mountain Rose Gifts on Ocean View Boulevard. And with her heart in Montrose, Brookshire admits, “It’s an excellent location and a great town to work in. We are like one big family here.”
