Photos: Montrose Gets Crafty

Artists as far as Washington and princesses from Burbank come to sell their masterpieces in Montrose.

Art-lovers and crafting fans are invited to stroll Honolulu Avenue on Saturday and Sunday for Montrose's Arts and Crafts festival.

The two-day festival is sponsored by the Montrose Shopping Park Association to promote local business and community artists. It begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday.

Iconic Southern Calfornia photos, pottery and other handmade items are featured, such as children's animal robes from Daisies, a family-owned business from Huntington Beach.

Snow White from A Day at the Ball--a traveling princess party company--offers temporary tattoos or miniature princess experiences.

Food vendors cook up funnel cakes, summer BBQ, lemonade and watermelon juice.

The event draws hundreds of people throughout California to Montrose.

Some even travel from Washington state, according to Linda McMenamin, MSPA Promotional Coordinator.

Upload your own photos from the Montrose Arts and Crafts Festival.

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs .
