Mark and Stephanie Taglianetti had a dream: to both live and work in La Crescenta or Montrose.
Now, the couple work together at the same storefront at 3800 Foothill Blvd., Suite B. The location is headquarters for Mook Apparel, a custom screen printing business, and Goddess Design, a website design company.
"I always had a dream to have a small storefront in La Crescenta or Montrose," Stephanie, owner of Goddess Design, told Patch.
Only a quarter mile from their home, the office space also serves as a rehearsal space for their band 'Second Chance.'
"We really wanted to live and work in our community. We want to be the business everyone knows about and goes to," she said.
Stephanie helps business build a web presence and develop promotional tools. She has contributed animation and storyboarding to Cartoon Network and Klasky Csupo. Her design work benefits start up companies and small business owners, including a goat milk soap company in Utah.
Mark, a trainer at in Montrose, joined his brother to start making screen printed shirts. The area native creates custom designs for schools, businesses, teams, churches or other organizations.
"I encourage people to support veterans and the military. I'm an Air Force veteran and I went to La Canada High School, so by using my company you are not only supporting the local community you would be supporting a veteran-run business as well," Mark told Patch via email.
This busy couple also plans to be involved in the local business community.
Mook Apparel will sponsor a Montrose Pub Run every first Friday starting on Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. The beginning pub is at 2941 Honolulu Avenue, Montrose and the run kicks off at 7 p.m.
