Moo-ve On Over to the Black Cow Cafe

This neighborhood favorite is whipping up meals sure to please everyone!

offers amazing lunch and dinner specials daily and is one of my favorite places to grab an awesomemeal. Montrose welcomed Black Cow Cafe to the neighborhood 15 years ago and it quickly became a local favorite.

Jeff Williams, the owner, continues to "bring excellence and friendly dining" to our community. Chef Armando is the head chef and creates numerous daily lunch and dinner specials for all customers to enjoy. Daily specials include a quiche du jour, a soup du jour, and a special salad, sandwich, and fish entree. Armando consistently combines unique twists on traditional, homestyle comfort foods such as the hearty chicken noodle soup (served on Wednesdays).

Start your meal off with a slice of freshly baked zucchini bread order a refreshing drink from their selection of sodas, iced teas, strawberry lemonades, and smoothies.

At lunch time, enjoy a soup and house salad combo, complete with romaine leaves, sprouts, raisins, and sunflower seeds. Pesto chicken paninis, Philly cheese steak wraps, turkey portabella burgers and  "Montrose" Cristo sandwiches are all popular lunch items, served with tropically-inspired Hawaiian coleslaw, fries, fruit, or salad.

The Black Cow Cafe kicks it up a notch at dinnertime with their grilled Atlantic salmon smothered in fresh fruit salsa, petite filet mignon with tarragon hollandaise, and home-style meatloaf. This menu has something that is sure to please everyone's palate, from pastas to loaded potato dinners. Also, the "south of the border" Mexican choices are endless.
