Halloween may seem like its weeks away, but it’s never to early to start your search for the perfect Halloween costume. Avoid the Oct. 30 lines and plan early with our guide to the best costume shops in town.

While the average rental retails for $60 – a simple Halloween ensemble will set you back $45 and an outrageous ensemble with plenty of accessories can range from $125 to $150. Popular choices include a fashionable flapper, polished pirate and chilling vampire. Stop by the shop now and pay upfront to reserve your costume for Halloween day. A typical rental period is three days and two nights. Make sure to return your costume on time – the Halloween late fee is $25 a day.
