Actually, Do Not Bring Your Electronic Waste to Big Lots on Saturday

The ewaste fundraiser is cancelled due to a lack of proper permits.

Big yellow and green banners have been hung around the Crescenta Valley and Altadena recently advertising a free electronic waste recycling event at the Big Lots in La Cañada Flintridge on Saturday and Sunday.

It turns out, the event has been cancelled due to a lack of proper permits, according to the Crescenta Valley Weekly.

The ewaste fundraiser was organized by Kids of America and Greenview Resource Management. According to the report, the city of La Cañada Flintridge pulled the permit after discovering that Greenview had not filed for a permit with the California Dept. of Toxic Substances Control at least 30 days in advance of the event, which is required.
