Five People Arrested on Suspicion of Home Burglary

Authorities still trying to determine what the five people were doing in a vacant home Saturday evening. Suspects were arrested on alleged reasonable cause of burglary.

Deputies arrested five people Saturday after a neighbor witnessed suspicious-looking activity at a vacant home.

The neighbor reportedly witnessed two of the five suspects hop over a fence to a vacant home in the 2900 block of Gertrude Avenue around 6:35 p.m., said Lt. Angela Shepherd of the

Deputies arrived and witnessed two of the suspects fleeing the home, she said. Both fleeing suspects were found and arrested.

One suspect was apparently found fleeing near Harmony Place at La Crescenta Avenue, according to scanner reports. The other three suspects were found in the home.

The two fleeing suspects may have had warrants, Shepherd said.

All five were arrested on reasonable suspicion of burglary. The home was empty and had no furniture inside at the time. Authorities are still trying to figure out why the suspects were there.

"They are not arrested under the full charge of burglary. It's a reasonable cause burglary. We have to have a little more evidence," Shepherd said. "We have to find out exactly what went on in there."

The names of all five suspects are being withheld until further investigation.

I can well empathsize with your loss. First thing, can you remember taking it off anywhere? DidRead More you wash your hands anywhere, soap makes fingers slippery. Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b
