Village Poets To Make an Appearance In La Crescenta

Event will highlight National Poetry Month.

The Village Poets of Sunland-Tujunga will set out to please patrons of poetry and perform poems and prose with passion on Saturday.

The afternoon's readings will be performed by Dorothy Skiles, poet laureate of Sunland-Tujunga, and past poets Marlene Hitt, Joe DeCenzo, Maja Trochimczyk, Mari Werner and Beverly Collins.

The Village Poets consists of former Poets Laureate of Sunland Tujuna. The group organizes readings in their community and continue to publish works  to keep literature "rich and vibrant" in the foothills.

The event will be held Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd in La Crescenta from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. No open readings are available.
