The Crescenta Valley Fireworks Assn. presents an Independence Day fireworks spectacular and hometown fair at La Crescenta Elementary School this July 4.
Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m., with fireworks starting at dusk. An estimated 5,000 people attended last year.
This year's celebration will include many improvements and favorites from last year, according to CV Fireworks' President Mike Shaar. Live entertainment, carnival rides and a "true California dining experience" will be in store for attendees.
Seating to watch the fireworks will be on the elementary school playground asphalt, so be sure to bring comfortable blankets, sleeping bags or folding chairs to sit on.
Tickets are $5.00 each with children under 2-years-old admitted free. Servicemen and women in uniform will be admitted for free.
It's recommended to buy tickets ahead of time, but they can also be purchased on July 4 after 12 p.m. at the corner of La Crescenta Ave. and Prospect Ave.
Tickets can be purchased at:
- CV Chamber office at 3131 Foothill Blvd., Unit D, La Crescenta (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
