Deepali Festival of Lights at Ananda Ashrama

People of all faiths and beliefs are invited to celebrate Indian New Year at the Ashanda Ashrama during Deepali, the Festival of Lights. The night time event is not a religious ceremony but rather a peaceful festival of renewal celebrated with candlelight and refelective gathering. For more information, see the Ananda Ashrama website. The ashram was founded in 1923 and serves as a spiritual retreat dedicated to all world religions.The ashram covers over 100 acres at the top of Pennsylvania Avenue at the edge of the Deukmejian Wilderness Park.
