Locals are invited to celebrate the acquisition of the Rosemont Preserve with neighbors and the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy on June 30.
The Saturday festivities begin with habitat restoration at 8:30 a.m. and continues with docent-led tours of the area at 10:15 a.m.
Everyone is welcome. Executive Director John Howell recommends that residents RSVP for the habitat restoration part of the event since space is limited.
A ceremony will happen at 11:30 a.m. with local dignitaries. The Altadena land trust will explain its plans for the area. Light refreshments will be served.
Parking is available at , on Rosemont Avenue and south of Harmony Place.
