Turn off your sprinklers on Saturday, Crescenta Valley.
After weeks of dry weather you can expect the kind of rain storm that rinses your car and moistens your yard (and skin), yet leaves hillsides intact.
Of course, after weeks of single-digit humidity, folks should still watch out for areas of ponding on freeways and neighborhood streets, according to the National Weather Service.
