Weather: Frost and Wind Watch Issued for Foothills

Forecasters predict the Los Angeles County mountains--including the Crescenta and San Gabriel valleys--could see frost Friday night. Winds could reach gusts up to 40 mph late Friday, early Saturday.

The National Weather Service announced a wind advisory and freeze watch is in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday for Los Angeles County mountains and the Santa Clarita Valley.

Winds headed northwest could reach 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph Friday night, the NWS reported.

Forecasters warn that strong winds could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Extra caution is urged.

The agency releases wind advisories for expected gusts above 35 mph or more.

Some foothill areas are under a freeze watch, meaning temperatures may drop to 28 degrees or lower for at least two consecutive hours, authorities said.

Forecasters expect the freeze watch to last from late Saturday night through Sunday morning.

Officials urge people to take care of animals and minimize risks to outdoor plants.

I can well empathsize with your loss. First thing, can you remember taking it off anywhere? DidRead More you wash your hands anywhere, soap makes fingers slippery. Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b
