Trial for Ex-Councilman Drayman Pushed Back Again

John Drayman, a former Glendale councilman, found out at a Tuesday pre-trial hearing that he could learn the time of his trial in July -- which then pushes back the possibility of actual trial proceedings to September or October, according to a story in the Glendale News-Press.

Drayman was indicted nearly a year ago on felony charges that he allegedly embezzled nearly $305,000 from the Montrose Sunday Harvest Market, according to the District Attorney's Office. Charges of filing false tax statements, fraud, forgery and money laundering are also part of the indictment.

Drayman told the News-Press following his pre-trial hearing that he was "anxious" to get to trial.
