Photos: Hometown Country Fair a Hit

The event, now in its eighth year, featured carnival rides for kids, a classic car show, live performances, a dog parade, a silent auction and arts and crafts

Perfect weather greeted the hundreds who flocked to CV Park on Saturday to partake in the Hometown Country Fair festivities, which kicked off with a 5K run benefiting the veteran's Two Strike Park memorial wall.

Attendees included several Glendale City Council members, among other local dignitaries.

The event, now in its eighth year, featured carnival rides for kids, a classic car show, live performances, a silent auction, arts and crafts and even a dog parade.

There was also no shortage of eats, with food trucks galore and booths selling everything from ice cream to hot dogs.

The Chamber of Commerce and Montrose Travel co-sponsored the fair, which also helps raise money for scholarships.
