Anyone looking to remember and honor those veterans who have died in military service have a couple of ways to do so on the morning of Memorial Day.
One is the annual Reading of Names and Walk of Honor from The American Legion Verdugo Hills Post 288 and The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1614 at . Both organizations will be honoring vets who are friends or family members of local residents as well as all other veterans, regardless of hometown.

Another ceremony, also at 8 a.m., will be held at the Vietnam War Memorial at the corner of Ocean View Boulevard and Honolulu Avenue. The 45-minute remembrance is being organized by the Montrose Shopping Park Association and Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce.
