Hurricane Sandy Stops Flights From LAX, Burbank

More than 8,900 flights have been canceled nationwide.

If you have plans to fly to the East Coast, you might have to—not just want to—rethink them.

Airlines canceled more than 8,900 flights across the country because of Hurricane Sandy and its expected impact on the East Coast, including 129 that had been scheduled to fly in or out of LAX Monday and Tuesday and five at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.

According to Los Angeles International Airport spokesman Albert Rodriguez, U.S. Airways canceled two flights to Philadelphia, while Virgin
America canceled seven departures and seven arrivals to New York,  Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Among the other flights canceled were three Jet Blue departures to New
York and two to Boston. Qantas delayed the arrival of a New York flight to Los Angeles.

American Airlines canceled Monday's seven departures to New York and
Washington and 15 departures and 16 arrivals tomorrow to and from New York, Boston, Washington and Newark.

Delta Airlines canceled three departures Monday to New York and eight
tomorrow. Alaska Airlines has canceled all six of its Washington D.C.
departures Monday and Tuesday.

United Airlines canceled nine departures Monday and 14 scheduled for Tuesday to New York, Newark and Washington, D.C. United's sister company, Continental Airlines, canceled eight departures Monday and 10 tomorrow to the east coast.

At Bob Hope Airport, five Jet Blue flights were canceled between Burbank
and New York City, including two flights in each direction Monday and one
flight from Burbank to New York Tuesday morning, according to airport
spokesman Victor Gill.

Thank you for your suggestions and I have filed a lost property report and I will definitely call the local pawn shops. Keeping it in perspective and at the end of the day it is just an object, but I'm definitely hoping that it finds its way back.

Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b
