We're used to a , but another animal is now scoping out the neighborhood: deer.
Wyatt Gonder, a Verdugo City local, took a photo of three grazing deer while out on his morning walk earlier this week.
Gonder's sister-in-law, Mona Porter, sent Patch this photo of three deer relaxing near the Verdugo Wash, which runs to the Los Angeles River, near the La Crescenta Nursery on La Crescenta Avenue and Oakmont Country Club.
"We always hear about the wildlife in the hills but I've never seen deer so close to La Crescenta Avenue," Gonder said.
