Get Out: Theater, Cheese 101, Meditation and More!

Patch helps you round out your weekend plans with local happenings!

Get the weekend started early with Thursday night meditation at (4700 Dunsmore Ave.) in La Crescenta. From 7-8 p.m., the Kadampa Meditation Center hosts guided meditation and a discussion. Cost for the class is $10, and everyone is welcome.

The  (87 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.) presents The Yeomen of the Guard at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Tickets are $25. The show runs through September 24.

Every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m., join the folks at Pasadena's Eaton Canyon Nature Center (1750 N. Altadena Dr.) for an hour of stories, nature walks and puppet shows geared toward 3-5 year olds!

On Sunday, from 4:30-5:30 p.m., in La Canada (714 Foothill Blvd.) will host a special gourmet cheese course. Guests will learn how to pair cheese with wine, how cheeses are best served, and more. The cost is $24, and wine is included.

On Sunday, September 4, check out the Pasadena City College Flea Market. This monthly event boasts food, drink, furniture, jewelry, art, household items, collectibles, records and more. Admission is free, and parking is $2. The Flea Market takes place from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and is located at 1570 E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.
