Get Out! From Meditation to Music, Start Planning Your Weekend

Patch brings you a host of options for weekend activities.

Are you looking for something to do with your weekend? Wondering what the neighborhood has to offer? Here are some intriguing events taking place in the area.

 

1.

Where/When: Dunsmore Park, Thursday, 7-8 p.m.

Why Go: Take an hour to breathe, relax and enjoy the fresh air.

Pricing: $10.

 

2.

Where/When: Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock, Friday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a night of music, open to all ages.

Pricing: $10 in advance, $12 day of show.

 

3.

Where/When: Crescenta Valley Park, Saturday, 1 p.m.

Why Go: Take a step back in time and hear how many veterans of the Civil War restarted their lives by moving west, settling in this area. Bring your own lawn chair and maybe a picnic.

Pricing: Free.

 

4.  

Where/When: W. Sunset Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m to 9 p.m.

Why Go: Come on out to Silver Lake for a day of music, comedy, dance, literature, arts and crafts, food and fun!

Pricing: $5 per day; children 10 and under/seniors 60 and over are free.

 

5.  

Where/When: Bolton Hall Museum, Tijunga, Sunday, 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Village Poets of Sunland-Tujunga celebrate their first year at their Boton Hall location with this open reading, featuring fiber artist and poet Cindy Rinne.

Pricing: Free.

CRESCENTA VALLEY LITTLE LEAGUE CARNIVAL

Where/When:  Saturday from 3-8pm at .

Why go: There will be games, a bake sale, and a silent auction.
