Got kids? Bring them over to Deukmejian Park on October 15th. 1pm-4pm. No child should be left indoors! Come and learn all about the Sierra Club and the many activities and adventure outings available for all ages. We haveplanned much stuff to keep the kids entertained while learning about nature. There are tattoos, and coloring activities, and games, and planting, and "learn your cones" touch stations and many other fun things to do. And there is the hike to the stream, 1 mile rt, about 200 ft gain, with tree watering. See, we planted Big Cone Spruce here months ago in areas that were burned by the Station Fire. Now we come regularly to water and care for the young trees. There will be Table Displays, Exhibits, Refreshments, Free Drawing.
