The Verdugo Hills Chapter of Compassionate Friends held a pot luck and released balloons at Memorial Park in La Cañada Flintridge during the later part of the day.
Compassionate Friends, a national organization that offers support for those grieving from the loss of a child, sibling or grandchild, met to make a statement. Balloons lifted into the sky in honor of the deceased within their own group and for those who lost loved ones on 9/11.
